As I'm sure you will have heard, Buckingham Palace announced that HRH Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, has died aged 99 on Friday 9th April. A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”

Samlesbury Church of England Primary School and Governing Board offer our sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family at this sad time.

Because of the Coronavirus restrictions it isn't possible to have a physical school book of condolence for parents and families to contribute to but the link below will take you to the Church of England's national book of condolence. This link is also on our condolence post on our school Facebook page.

John chapter 14 verses 1-4

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
